Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Superior Construction Co will begin bridge deck overlay projects on Ireland Rd and Fellows Rd at the U.S. 20/31 bypass on or after Monday, June 6.
Ireland Rd will be closed between Locust Rd and Linden Rd. The detour for this closure will follow State Road 23, U.S. 20/31 and U.S. 31/Michigan St. If traveling eastbound, motorists will need to follow U.S. 20/31 to Ironwood Dr and then Ireland Rd instead due to the ramps to and from eastbound U.S. 20/31 and U.S. 31/Michigan St being closed for bridge work.
Fellows St will be closed between Ireland Rd and Jackson Rd. The detour will follow Ireland Rd, Miami St, and Jackson Rd.
Both sections of roadway will be closed for approximately three weeks while this bridge preventative maintenance work is ongoing.
