City Police Escort Approved for Widows Sons Fundraising Ride

Jeremy Enyart, a member of the FreeMasons and Plymouth Kilwinning Lodge #149 asked for a police escort for a ride on June 12^th.

Enyart said they will hold their 14^th Annual Widows Sons Ride on Sunday, June 12^th beginning at 11:30 from the lodge on Water Street.  He said the fundraising ride is to assist charities such as the Boys and Girls Club and Shop With A Cop.

Enyart asked for a police escort from the Lodge on Water Street, up Garro Street, and south on Michigan Street to U.S. 31 where the County Police and State Police will pick up the riders. He said they are just requesting safe passage through the intersections.  

While this approval should have been handled through the Board of Public Works and Safety, the request was not received in the city office.  Enyart attended the meeting and asked the City Council to approve the request and they did.
