On Wednesday, May 11th, Marshall County Police responded to a report of an intoxicated male shooting a firearm and threatening the occupants at his residence in the 15,000 block of 3rd Road.

During the investigation, county officers located 48-year-old Timothy Peet who was reported to be intoxicated and had left the residence.

It was found that Mr. Peet discharged a firearm into the air during the altercation.

He was located and taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail.  Timothy Peet was booked in for Criminal Recklessness as a level 6 felony and held on a $1500 cash bond. 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
