Officer Smith with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated an automobile accident on Friday, May 6 that happened at approximately 7:50 in the evening. 

Deputies responded to the area of Michigan and 4A Roads for a two-vehicle unknown injury accident. After an investigation, Randall Roach, 45 of Klinger Street in Plymouth was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a BAC of .15 or more.

Roach was lodged in the Marshall County Jail and given a cash bond of $1,500. His bond was paid on Saturday, May 7th about 9:15 in the morning and he was released. 

The female driver of the second vehicle involved was transported to Plymouth Hospital with injuries to her knee and ankle.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
