Mayor Mark Senter reached out last week on behalf of NIPSCO regarding an ongoing electrical modernization project currently in process in the City of Plymouth. This project will not only modernize the electrical grid in the City of Plymouth for greater economic development, but it will also increase system reliability for the city.

As this project progresses crews will need to take a scheduled electrical outage near the Plymouth Airport and Michigan Road areas. NIPSCO has scheduled an outage for today March 9th from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. for business customers. Residential customers will require a scheduled outage on March 9th, as well, beginning at 6 p.m. and lasting to 12 a.m.

NIPSCO has reached out to impacted businesses directly to communicate the outage. Residential customers should have received advanced notice of the outage via post cards and door hangers placed at the impacted residents.
