Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Milestone Contractors will begin work on State Road 931 between Whitmer Rd and Tyler Rd on or after Monday, March 7.
Work will begin with pipe and structure replacements through mid-April, starting near Whitmer Rd and moving south toward State Road 4 as work progresses. There will also be road closures between Shivley Rd and Tyler Rd after March 25. There will be a hard closure in the area where work is occurring, and the closure will be moved when work on one structure is complete to begin working on the next.
A road resurfacing project for State Road 931 between Whitmer Rd and Tyler Rd is also part of this contract. Resurfacing will start in early June, but lane closures may be utilized before then for prep work like ADA sidewalk ramps in the downtown Lakeville area. Resurfacing will be done under flagging operations, but thru traffic may want to continue utilizing the detour route. This work will continue through late August.
The official detour will follow Kern Rd, U.S. 31 and State Road 4 or U.S. 6.
