South Bend Woman Arrested for Shoplifting at Walmart

Plymouth Police responded to Walmart for a shoplifter in custody on Wednesday, February 23^rd about 7:30 in the evening.  

After an investigation by Corporal Steve DeLee, 62-year-old Carol Ann Dickerson of South Bend was arrested for Theft.

As Ms. Dickerson was being taken into custody, she physically assaulted the officer resulting in an additional charge. Carol Ann Dickerson was incarcerated at the Marshall County Jail for Theft and Resisting Arrest.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
