Bikes For Kids, Inc., is a Northern Indiana based 501(C)3 non-profit organization, geared toward helping kids ride into a happier, healthier childhood by providing bikes to those most in need. They collect and refurbish bikes with the help of volunteers and give them away on Easter weekend, the start of the riding season.

This year Bikes for Kids is well on their way to meeting their 2022 goal of providing bikes and helmets to 300+ deserving children on April 16. The event has gotten so big, this year they are using two pavilions in Centennial Park near the tennis courts.  Event plans are being finalized.

Mark Sage, President of Bikes for Kids said in a fundraising letter, “In the past, we were fortunate to have a very generous donor who would cover most of the cost of the required helmets. However, we were recently informed they will be unable to support our charity this year.”  Thus, the reason for this letter.

Without this support Bikes for Kids needs to immediately raise $3,000 to cover the cost of three hundred helmets by the end of February.  This will ensure delivery before the April 16th Give Away Event.
