On Friday, February 11 Brandt Bush called the Marshall County Sheriff`s Department to report that his vehicle had been stolen. He works for the Culver Academy and his vehicle was driven to work at 5:30 am on Friday, February 11, and was parked at the Grounds Department.  Bush explained that he had purchased the car from his aunt, Jennifer Bush and the vehicle was still registered to her.

The vehicle was entered into IDACS / NCIS as a stolen vehicle and a dispatch was given to Officers. Officer John Weir with the Plymouth Police Department located the vehicle in question and made contact with the driver.  Josh Pence, 50, of Columbia City was arrested for Auto Theft and incarcerated in the Marshall County Jail.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
