Officer Taberski with the Plymouth Police Department observed a disabled vehicle at Glen Overmyer Drive east of Olive Trail about 1 a.m. Sunday morning.

In checking the vehicle and registration it was determined the license on the vehicle was reported as stolen through the South Bend Police Department.  

A 17-year-old male juvenile from Plymouth was detained and transported to the Plymouth Police Department.  The male juvenile was then released to a legal guardian.

A report will be forwarded to the Marshall County Prosecutor’s office and Juvenile Probation for review.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
