Knights of Columbus Granted Exemption from Licensing to Conduct Tootsie Roll Fundraiser in May

The Knights of Columbus presented a request to the Plymouth Common Council this week seeking an exemption from the city’s licensing requirements.

The Knights will conduct their annual Tootsie Roll fundraiser on Friday and Saturday May 6^th and 7^th at the intersection of Michigan and Jefferson Streets in downtown Plymouth.  K of C members will also be at the Kroger store and Walmart the same days.  The rain date will be May 13^th and 14^th. 

One Hundred percent of the profits will go to the Marshall Starke Development Center and Special Olympics. 

Councilman Don Ecker asked if members would have the safety cones in the street to keep traffic moving safely and if members will wear vests.  Clerk Treasurer Lynn Gorski confirmed their safety equipment.
