Congresswoman Jackie Walorski (IN-02) Wednesday filed for re-election to continue representing Indiana’s 2nd District in Congress.

“As a lifelong Hoosier, I am grateful to fight for the hardworking people of Indiana’s 2nd District and to serve as their voice in Congress. Right now, our nation is facing crisis after crisis – and Hoosiers are paying the price. I’m working hard to stop liberals’ radical agenda, combat inflation, help our economy recover, strengthen our national security, fight for veterans, and equip families to succeed,” said Congresswoman Walorski. “In the face of tough challenges, Hoosiers know I’ll always stand up for our values and for our neighbors – farmers, workers, manufacturers, small businesses, veterans, servicemembers, and families across northern Indiana. Together, we can build a brighter, safer, and stronger America.”

Ahead of the 2022 election cycle, Walorski’s campaign has more than $1.1 million cash on hand.

Since 2nd District Hoosiers first elected Jackie Walorski to Congress, she has worked to achieve commonsense solutions, including passing laws to cut taxes, support American workers, combat the drug crisis, protect veterans, and strengthen families.

·      Jackie serves on the House Ways and Means Committee and is the top Republican on the Subcommittee on Worker and Family Support. She has led legislative solutions to cut taxes, reduce burdensome regulations, and help families overcome barriers to achieve the American Dream.

·      As a national trade leader, Jackie has fought on behalf of northern Indiana to ensure our local workers, manufacturers, farmers, and small businesses can compete on a level playing field. She has stood up to China and defended U.S. manufacturers and farmers from costly tariffs.

·      When COVID-19 reached our shores, Jackie sprang into action to protect Hoosiers, support essential workers, and save Indiana’s small businesses. Now, she is rejecting mandates and restrictions that hinder our recovery.

·      In recent years, Jackie led the fight to permanently repeal the job-killing medical device tax and the costly health insurance tax. President Trump signed into law her legislation to repeal these Obamacare taxes that were driving up the cost of health care.

·      Jackie has fought to keep our nation’s promise to our brave veterans. In 2016, she authored a law to protect veterans from overprescribing of opioids. And in 2013, Jackie authored a bipartisan law that protects survivors of military sexual assault.
