The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Marshall County until 10 p.m. tonight.  Due to numerous slide offs and accidents, it is recommended that you do not travel unless it is necessary.

The Marshall County Commissioners had placed an “Advisory” level travel advisory for the county due to slick and hazardous road conditions.  The “Advisory” level travel advisory is the lowest level advisory and means that routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation, and individuals should use cation or avoid those areas.

Drivers are encouraged to S-L-O-W down, increase following distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you.  Avoid using cruise control and avoid rapid breaking.  It is recommended you allow yourself extra   time to reach your destination. 

The Marshall County Highway Department is currently treating main roads only.
