The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Marshall County in effect from 4 pm this afternoon to 1 am Sunday.
Freezing rain is expected with a total ice accumulation of up to one tenth of an inch. The ice will mainly be on roads and sidewalks throughout portions of northern Indiana.
Drivers can expect difficult travel conditions due to icy roads. Secondary roads, bridges and overpasses, parking lots, and sidewalks are most susceptible.
The air temperatures gradually climb to above freezing late Saturday evening, ground and pavement temperatures may lag that, resulting in icy conditions on untreated surfaces.
