On Wednesday, December 29th at approximately 5:20 in the afternoon a Marshall County Sheriff Deputy conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle at the Speedway gas station located in LaPaz.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as 42-year-old Shane Bollinger of Plymouth and the passenger was identified as 29-year-old Cody Eggert of Knox.
During the traffic stop, the deputy located suspected drugs on Cody Eggert’s person and suspected drugs inside the vehicle.
Eggert and Bollinger were transported to the Marshall County Jail and both were booked for possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug as a Level 6 Felony. Their cash bonds were set at $1,500.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
