The Marshall County Commissioners approved the request of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department to purchase four new vehicles during their meeting Monday.

Sheriff Hassel said he has been working on getting quotes for over a month to begin the process to purchase his 2022 vehicles.

Oliver Ford responded with their quote on December 8th but the Auto Park failed to provide any quotes even after several phone calls and a visit to the business.  Therefore, the sheriff only had one quote to present.

The sheriff will purchase 4 2022 Ford 4×4 Utility Interceptors, 2 blue and silver detective cars and 2 Arizona beige patrol vehicles.  The manufactures suggested retail price was $175,600.  The sale price to the County Commissioners was $148,496.

The sheriff will also trade in four vehicles, a 2014, 2-2015s and a 2016.  Trade-in value for each vehicle was $3,500.

Total cost approved by the commissioners for the four vehicles was  $134,496.
