Monday evening during the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety meeting, Fire Chief Steve Holm introduced Devan Garcia as the newest Firefighter/Paramedic.

Devan Garcia comes to the Plymouth Fire Department from the Goshen Fire Department although he resides in Plymouth with his wife and family.  Chief Holm said, “He’s wanted to serve here for quite a while, both as a volunteer but his proximity with his residence kept him from being a volunteer, but he did hire on with us part-time.  When we had an opening available he saw an opportunity to come back and work closer to home and serve his community where he grew up.  We were more than happy to have him join our team.”

Plymouth Clerk-Treasurer Jeanine Xaver administered the oath of office to Fireman Devan Garcia and his wife pinned his badge on his uniform.

Hiring Garcia brings the Plymouth Fire Department staff to 12 full-time members and 20 volunteers.
