Get ready to tap those toes and clap your hands in time to the rhythm, John Kennedy and his band the Kennedy’s Kitchen are going to light up Wild Rose Moon this Saturday night, December 11th, at 8 p.m. You’ll hear Chris O’Brien on Fiddle and Mandolin and a whole cast of players on bodhran (hand drum) and Irish whistles to boot. Director of the Moon, George Schricker, relates, “John and his band embody the ancient bardic traditions—the jigs and reels that encapsulate his stories draw contrast to John’s soft and gentle voice that introduces each piece. The result is that John makes each song and each story feel as if it’s an old, old mystery to be revealed, especially, to each one of us. This unfolding of the performance material makes it feel as if an invisible hearth has been lit and we have all been called to gather around it.  It really makes for a remarkable experience.”  Tickets for the performance are available at ASK for Flowers, or online at www.wildrosemoon.com, at Eventbrite, or at the door.  Seating is limited and in the interest of Wild Rose Moon Patrons, volunteers, medical personnel, and the young and unvaccinated, masks are required.  The performance will also be webcast and the suggested donation for viewing is a basic membership in Wild Rose Moon Performing Arts Center.
