On Thursday, December 02, at approximately 11:00 a.m. the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 emergency call of a property damage accident in the area of US 31, northbound at the railroad tracks.  Officers from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Plymouth Fire and Plymouth EMS responded to the scene.

Officers found that Anthony J. Griffey, age 38, Summitville, Indiana was traveling northbound on US 31, in a white 2011 Peterbilt semi with one tanker. Mr. Griffey had stopped for the railroad tracks.

Daniel Stauffer, age 34, Wabash did not see that the semi vehicle was stopped in the roadway and ran into the back of the tanker.  His vehicle rolled over onto its top in the middle of the railroad tracks. Daniel Stauffer was driving a 2018 Chevrolet pickup truck.

Fortunately no one was injured in the accident although traffic was stalled on US 31 for a while.
