On Tuesday, November 30th, at approximately 10:15 at night, Officer Finn with the Plymouth Police Department was conducting routine traffic patrol when he checked on a vehicle in the parking lot of the Economy Inn.

The registered owner of the vehicle, 37-year-old Kalee L. Whittaker of Big Rapids, MI had an active warrant through Marshall County for Intimidation.

Officer Finn confirmed the owner was inside the vehicle and she was transported to the Marshall County Jail.  Whittaker was lodged in the County Jail and held on a $1,500 cash bond. 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
