Due to the overwhelming response for testing, and the increased positivity rate in Marshall County, The Indiana State Department of Health Strike Team is in Marshall County.

With the covid positivity rate at nearly 20% in Marshall County before Thanksgiving, the County Health Department took a proactive approach and asked the Indiana Strike Team to offer testing and vaccination support.

The Strike Team opened for business at noon on Wednesday and an hour before opening a line started to form out front of the LifePlex.  During the afternoon, at times the line reached out onto Pioneer Drive.

After the Thanksgiving weekend, the County Health Department had nearly a 40% positivity rate on Monday’s testing. 

The Indiana State Department of Health Dashboard posted results from Tuesday, November 30th.  Marshall County had 70 new positive cases of the coronavirus bringing the county’s total to 9,002.  There were no new deaths reported and the county’s total deaths now sits at 137.  There were 88 individuals tested and the 7-day positivity rate for all tests in the county to 15.9% and the 7-day positivity rate for unique individuals in the county to 31.1%.       

The Indiana Strike Team will be at the back of the LifePlex, 2855 Miller Drive in Plymouth through Saturday from noon till 8 p.m. daily offering both testing and vaccinations.
