On Sunday, November 21, the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP) recognized Ryan Welch, Assistant Principal at Riverside Intermediate School in Plymouth as the 2021 State Assistant Principal of the Year.  He was also named District Assistant Principal of District 2. 

District 2 is located in northern Indiana and is made up of Elkhart, Fulton, Kosciusko, La Porte, Marshall, Pulaski, St. Joseph and Starke Counties.

The recognition ceremony is a part of the 2021 Assistant Principals of the Year Recognition Celebration, a part of IASP’s annual  Fall Professional’s Conference hosted by Executive Director, Dr. Todd Bess and IASP President, Aimee Lunsford presiding.

District Assistant Principals of the Year are elected by their peers. One assistant principal is honored from each of the 12 districts.  From these 12 Districts, Assistant Principal winner, Ryan Welch, was recognized as the 2021 State Assistant Principal of the Year at the banquet.

The Indiana Association of School Principals is a not-for-profit, professional association serving over 3200 building level administrators in the state of Indiana.
