The Indiana Department of Transportation is reminding drivers that State Road 8 in Starke County will be closed beginning Monday, November 15th for railroad improvements.
The Norfolk Southern Railroad plans to close their crossing on State Road 8 near Knox between County Road South 550 East and County Road South 600 East.
State Road 8 will be closed for approximately nine days in this location while Norfolk Southern rebuilds their at-grade crossing. Motorists should seek an alternate route.
The official detour will follow U.S. 35 to U.S. 30, and then on to State Road 23.
