The Marshall County Neighborhood Center will be helping families with Thanksgiving food baskets.  While the application deadline has passed, there is a need from the community to help fill those baskets.

The Neighborhood Center needs to fill 115 food baskets for families in Marshall County plus 14 senior baskets.

If you would like to donate a basket, a list of items that goes into the baskets was provided by the Center: a bag of potatoes or mashed potatoes, 2 cans green beans, 2 cans cream of mushroom soup, a can of French fried onions, a can of corn, one can of creamed corn, 1 box of muffin mix, a box of stuffing, a jar or can of gravy, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, one dessert like a pie or cake and a turkey.  For the senior basket they are asking for a precooked turkey breast, 2 sides, rolls and a dessert.

Donated baskets need to be dropped off by noon on November 22nd at the Neighborhood Center, 402 West Garro Street in Plymouth.

If you aren’t able to provide a full basket, monetary donations of any size are needed to assist with filling in the items needed to complete each and every basket.
