Operation Quiet Comfort is sending a big THANK YOUto everyone who has helped pack Christmas stockings for the troops throughout the month of October.  While they posted on Facebook that we were done packing stockings… there are more items and stockings left.  They have decided to do 100 more stockings. Jan Houin said, “The supplies are here and I believe we can get those done this Thursday at our regular monthly packing meeting.”

So if you missed out and still want to help with the Operation Quiet Comfort Holiday Project, this Thursday, Nov. 11th from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. just show up at 17671 13th Road Plymouth.

There is still an opportunity to donate too.  Jan Houin said, “I don’t have a final total but the postage to get the stockings to our troops will cost thousands of dollars. Thank you to everyone who has so generously donated.”  If you would like to help with a financial donation please send a check to OQC Holiday Project in care of The Houins at 17671 13th Road Plymouth, IN 46563.

Donations of items are not typically done because Operation Quiet Comfort purchases most items in bulk and tax exempt. However, if you wish to donate, there are items that are always needed: Pens (click, not loose caps), Toothbrushes (individually packaged) and zip style bags of all sizes: snack, sandwich, quart, and gallon.  These donations can be dropped off at the WTCA Studios in downtown Plymouth or ASK For Flowers.

Thank you to everyone for your generous support. Your support helps continue the mission of Operation: Quiet Comfort getting care packages to our troops. Whether you donate money, time, or other items, your efforts are appreciated!
