On Friday, October 29 at approximately 7:15 p.m. Officer Beatty with the Plymouth Police Department responded to a motor vehicle accident at the corner of South Michigan and Louisa Street.

While investigating the accident Officer Beatty determined the driver of the vehicle that caused the accident, Denis Ordonez, 34, of Plymouth was taken into custody for Operating While Intoxicated and Operating Without ever receiving a License.

Denis was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $1,500 cash bond that was paid on October 30th.  He was released with an initial hearing scheduled in Marshall Superior Court II on November 23rd

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
