The National Faith and Blue weekend is a powerful initiative that builds bridges to more engaged communities.

At the heart of this initiative is the reinforcement of connections between law enforcement professionals and the communities they serve through the reach of houses of worship.   There is no resources that can match the depth of the faith community in facilitating productive engagement with law enforcement, which is needed now more than ever.

In Marshall County the Faith and Blue weekend is Sunday, October 10th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.at the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department t 1004 Pioneer Drive in Plymouth.  Participating departments include the staff and officers from Argos, Bourbon, Bremen, Culver, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Plymouth, the Bremen Indiana State Police Post and Conservation Officers.

Join your community and local churches as they support our law enforcement officials.  From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. there will be food, interactive stations of yard games, thank you notes, K9 officers, Goggles, drones and meet an officer.  At 1:15 the Sheriff’s Department will host a K9 demonstration, at 1:45 there will be a special program that will welcome everyone, introduce the departments in attendance, a brief prayer over each department and then a few words on instruction on the walk.

At 2 p.m. there will be a support walk, at 2:45 the sheriff’s department will host a drone presentation and at 3 p.m. a fatal vision goggles presentation.

This is a family event so bring the kids and wear black or blue to show your support.
