Last week the Plymouth Common Council considered the application of Steve Carter for a Revitalization Rebate Program Gant for work on his building at 118 West LaPorte Street.
Carter owns the “Got Game” building and told the council he has needed a new roof for several years. He said, “It’s a challenge right now from many perspectives of getting anything done, as you are probably well aware of.”
With several quotes from interested contractors, Carter said he’s not doing a total tear-off but a patch over the whole roof. He said the total tear-offs were significantly higher than he wanted to undertake. Midwest Water Services had the low bid of $14,000 and the plan is to get the roof completed before winter.
The Plymouth Common Council unanimously approved the 20% rebate grant to Carter.
