County Attorney Jim Clevenger told the Marshall County Commissioners they have finally closed on the 716 North Plum Street property.  Closing was held on September 15th.  The county paid $39,500 after having the property appraised.

This is a piece of property the County’s Building and Grounds Department had wanted to acquire since they will be losing the garage, they have been renting at $500 a month behind the County Building for several years.  Doug Masterson brought the property idea to the commissioners late in 2020 with the idea of using the building on the grounds for storage of equipment and for a location to do maintenance on the equipment.

The purchase of the property was delayed many months due to the fact that one of the owners lives outside of the United States and getting the proper paperwork took several months.
