Tuesday evening the Bourbon Town Council accepted the resignation of a member of the Board of Zoning Appeals and a town department head.

The first resignation was from Susie Schaetzle. Schaetzle serves on the Bourbon Plan Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals.  She submitted her resignation from the BZA but will stay on the Plan Commission effective August 20th

The Town Council will need to fill the vacancy on the BZA using a member of the Bourbon Plan Commission.

The second resignation was from Utility Superintendent Steve Stacy on August 27th.  The Town Council appointed Roger Terry Bourbon Street Superintendent to serve as the interim superintendent of utilities.

The Bourbon Town Council will wait to fill the position, seeing how things work out.  It was suggested they will make a decision after the first of the year to either fill the position or look at other options.
