The Marshall County Central Dispatch Center received a call at 8:20 Tuesday morning, September 7th of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of 9th Road and West Sycamore Road.
The crash report indicated that a Chevrolet Impala driven by 41-year-old Amanda Biddle of Hamlet rear-ended a Mack Garbage Truck driven by Joseph Markovich of South Bend.
The investigating officer, Deputy Templeman said the driver of the passenger car sustained multiple injuries. There was also a juvenile in the backseat in a car seat who also sustained injuries. Both the driver and child were airlifted to a hospital in St. Joseph County for treatment.
