Flags at Half Staff on County Buildings to Honor Service Members Killed in Kabul

The Marshall County Commissioners, Kevin Overmyer, Stan Klotz and Mike Burroughs have made the decision to lower the flags at county owned properties to half-staff in honor of those service members that lost their lives on Thursday in Kabul.

The County Commissioners spoke with the county’s Veterans Service Officer Pam Schweizer-Betz and then made the decision as the Executive Branch of government. Flags will remain lowered through the weekend unless there is a directive from the President or Governor that extends the time period.
