U.S. Representative Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) released the following statement on the Democrats’ $3.5 trillion spending package.

“The Democrats’ $3.5 trillion budget is a wish list for big-government spending on socialist programs that would burden working families and small businesses with higher taxes, smaller paychecks, and a weaker economy – all while adding $17 trillion to our nation’s debt. Especially as we face President Biden’s mounting inflation crisis, this reckless spending spree is seriously out of touch with hardworking Hoosiers’ priorities,” Congresswoman Walorski said. “As American citizens remain stranded behind enemy lines in Afghanistan and the crisis on the southern border spirals further out of control, President Biden and Congressional Democrats are more focused on passing their radical agenda than solving these massive problems. Instead of squandering time on this extreme budget proposal, the House of Representatives should be focused on addressing these crises, protecting Americans, and defending the homeland.”

Walorski represents the 2nd Congressional District of Indiana, serving as a member of the House Ways and Means Committee and the Ranking Member of the House Ethics Committee.
