On July 27th, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department received a report from the Department of Child Services regarding an allegation of sexual abuse.

The incident was said to have occurred approximately two years prior at a residence outside of Bremen.

The victim was 12 years old at the time of offense in which 28-year-old Bradley Babcock of Argos was named as the suspect. Bradley Babcock was located and interviewed by a detective with the Sheriff’s Department.  He was subsequently arrested on August 24th for the crime related to Child molesting.

Bradley Babcock is currently being held at the Marshall County Jail on a $20,000 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
