On Friday, August 20th, about 5 p.m. Plymouth Police were dispatched to 501 North Michigan Street for a domestic argument occurring.

After a brief investigation by Officer Finn, 38-year-old Kelly Cowger Jr. of Clark Street in Plymouth was arrested for Possession of Marijuana.

Cowger Jr. was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $500 cash bond.  He was released on Monday, August 23rd after posting bond and given an initial hearing of September 28th in Marshall Superior Court II.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
