Eileen J. Klinedinst, 90, formerly of Tyner, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 21, 2021.
Born May 28, 1931, she was the 5th of five children, born to Homer & Verda (Ringgenberg) Stoneburner.
She graduated from Tyner High School with the class of 1949.
In high school she was the cheerleader that fell in love with the basketball star, Norman Klinedinst. On January 15th 1950, Eileen and Norman married at her family home.
Eileen worked as a secretary for Tyner and John Glenn School Corporation for 9 years before retiring in 1976.  She was a wonderful housewife and mother.  She enjoyed going with her friends and family to the beach, fishing, camping and roughing it at Bear Track in Wisconsin. She was also an Indiana Basketball fanatic.  She loved spending Sunday evenings with her family, usually resulting in good food and a rowdy game of cards. Many of their friends developed a group they called Card Club, which met monthly.
Eileen was a member of Tyner United Methodist Church, playing the organ for 17 years. She also taught piano lessons in her home.
Eileen is survived by her daughters: Sharon (Jim) Xaver; Vicki (Bill) Norris; and Laurie (Earl) Nelson of Plymouth. She has 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, as well as several very special nieces and nephews.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, husband Norman, sisters Evelyn Gurthet, Helen Trowbridge, Phyllis Holt, brother Homer Stoneburner, and grandson Ryan Woodward.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 11-1 p.m. at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth.  Funeral services will follow with Rev Mike Dixon officiating.
Burial will be held in the Tyner Cemetery, Tyner.
