Interim Superintendent of the Plymouth Community School Corporation, Diane Woodworth confirmed Thursday evening that two classrooms at Jefferson Elementary School are currently quarantined.

While she would not comment on what school, Woodworth did say overall they have had 19 positive COVID cases, which does include two staff members.

The Interim Superintendent said, “Plymouth schools are working very closely with the Marshall County Health Department, which is why we have gone to universal masking in all of our school buildings for the time being.”  She said they are also using social distancing guidelines in all areas of the schools, doing deep cleaning, cleaning classrooms between classes, encouraging frequent hand washing and have provided multiple hand sanitizer stations.

Woodworth said, “We believe our schools are indeed safe, but again this is why we moved to masking for all for right now.”
