U.S. Representative Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.) released the following statement Monday morning on the Biden-Harris Administration’s withdrawal from Afghanistan.
“While President Biden is MIA, the American people have watched in horror as the Taliban gained control of Kabul and U.S. citizens – and our Afghan allies – were left behind enemy lines. This botched withdrawal is an afront to our service members who have served and sacrificed during the War on Terror,” Congresswoman Walorski said. “The Biden-Harris Administration’s failures will endanger American lives and cede hard-fought victories. Instead of focusing on rebuilding America, President Biden and his administration are rebuilding Afghanistan into a breeding ground for anti-American terrorism. This disgraceful withdrawal is a disaster for our national security and for the basic human rights of women and girls.”
Congresswoman Walorski is a strong supporter of our Armed Forces and human rights across the globe. On Friday, she released a statement condemning the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan. Read more here.
Walorski represents the 2nd Congressional District of Indiana, serving as a member of the House Ways and Means Committee and the Ranking Member of the House Ethics Committee.
