M.C. Historical Society and Genealogical Society Host Driving Tour of Historical Markers on Tuesday

The Marshall County Historical Society and Genealogical Society will host a driving tour of historical markers on Tuesday, August 17. 

The local Historical Society and Genealogical Society have teamed up to caravan between Plymouth and Culver to learn more about the stories behind our local historical markers.  The journey starts at the parking lot west (behind) of the Public Library at 4:40 in the afternoon of Tuesday.   The first stop will be the monument dedicated to Menominee, a recognized leader of the local Potawatomi, on Peach Road between 12^th and 13^th roads. 

The driving tour will also visit the marker for the Indian Chapel, the beginning of The Trail of Death, and the first families of Culver markers at Queen and State Road 10.

Reservations are not required for this driving tour, just meet up with the group at the Plymouth Public Library at 4:30, or meet us at the Menominee memorial marker at 5 p.m. 

Genealogist and local researcher, Anita Kopetski, is the featured speaker at each stop.
