On Saturday, July 31st just before 1 a.m., Plymouth Police were dispatched to the area of William Street and South Michigan Street to meet with the victim of a Domestic Battery that had occurred earlier in the evening.

After an investigation, Richard W. Milton, 50, of Plymouth 914 S. Michigan Street was placed under arrest and transported to the Marshall County Jail.  His initial charges are Confinement with a $1,500 cash bond, Domestic Battery in the presence of a child and Violation of Home Detention for which he was held with NO BOND.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
