Plymouth Police were dispatched to South Fifth Street Sunday evening August 1st at 6 in reference to a male standing in the front yard yelling.

Officer Beatty was met with physical force by 26-year-old Jonnie Sanchez who has an East Adams Street address in Plymouth.

Jonnie Sanchez was taken into custody and transported to Marshall County Jail and booked for Battery to Law Enforcement and Public Intoxication.  He was held on a $1,500 cash bond.

Coincidentally, Mr. Sanchez was also arrested on Friday, July 30th at 3:45 in the afternoon by Plymouth Police for Public Intox.  He was lodged in the County Jail and bonded out on a $250 cash bond Sunday, August 1st about 2 p.m. and was re-arrested about 4 hours later.   

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
