City Police Arrest Elkhart Man for HTV & Auto Theft

Handcuffs-newOfficer Krynock with the Plymouth Police Department was dispatched to the area of 112 W Jefferson Street on Friday, April 23rd about 3:30 in the afternoon for a suspicious male.

During the investigation, Corey M. Jent, 33, of Elkhart was found to have operated a vehicle while being a Habitual Traffic Violator. Jent was also found to have an active warrant for his arrest through Elkhart County. He was incarcerated at the Marshall County Jail on a $1,500 cash bond for Driving after being adjudged a habitual traffic violator.  He was also held on a $10,000 cash bond for Auto Theft.

 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
