mug_lakisha boyd 4-2021On Friday, April 2nd at 10:42 P.M. Deputy Tempelman with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on US 31 near 14th Road on a vehicle for failure to yield to emergency vehicles.

The vehicle driven by 35 year old Lakisha Renee Boyd of Marion failed to move to the left lanes of traffic as required by law while Officer’s were out of their vehicles on a separate traffic stop.

During the traffic stop Boyd was found to be under the influence of alcohol. She was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where she was held on the charges of Operating a Vehicle

While Intoxicated with Endangerment and Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated with bond set at $1,505.

 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
