News_policeDavid Bacon, Plymouth Police Chief presented his annual department activity report to the Board of Public Works and Safety during their meeting last week.  The report details the types and number of calls the police department handles in 2020.

Officers responded to 8,978 calls for service, complaints and information last year.  City police conducted 3,082 traffic stops and issued 1,780 citations.  There was a total of 1,254 case reports and 371 arrests with 296 of them being adults and 75 juveniles.

Plymouth Police answered 1,112 nine-one-one hang-up calls, responded to 647 alarms and conducted 141 vehicle checks.  There were 393 accident reports taken, 298 animal complaints and officers assisted other agencies 72 times last year.
