David Lewallen has advanced to president and CEO at Marshall County REMC. Lewallen brings 16 years of experience to the job. Lewallen has been employed at Marshall County REMC since July 2004.
His primary responsibility early in his career included supervising the sales and installation of Marshall County REMC’s Exede Satellite Internet Service, as well as serving as information technology manager. Lewallen was later promoted to member services manager before taking the CEO position.
Lewallen graduated from Plymouth High School in 1995 and continued his education at Ball State University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing.
Lewallen and his wife, Brittley, are both lifetime residents of Marshall County, and they have two children, Abigail and Calvin.
“While I have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences as CEO and being part of the cooperative program, I am delighted to be able to ‘hand the reins’ to a capable successor who has consistently demonstrated ability and commitment to the success of the cooperative,” said Mark Batman, outgoing president and CEO of Marshall County REMC. “I am confident the board has selected the proper leader to take the organization to the next level.”
