On Wednesday, August 5th during the morning hours the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department Dispatch Center received a report of a motor vehicle collision at US 31 & State Road 10 that resulted in minor personal injury. The investigation of the crash revealed that Vehicle 1 identified as being a Ford Econoline Van driven by Jose S. Membreno of Indianapolis was westbound on State Road 10 entered the median & began crossing the US 31 South lanes to continue westbound. Mr. Membreno did not see Vehicle 2 identified as being a Lexus driven by Amy Abigt of Lakeville was approaching southbound and failed to yield to the Lexus. The vehicles collided with the Econoline coming to rest on State Road 10 at the west edge of the intersection. The Lexus traveled into the ditch coming to rest against a steel electric pole. Both drivers and a passenger in the Lexus were checked and or treated and released at the scene. The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Argos Police, Fire & EMS and Plymouth EMS.
