mugshot_michael minix 7-28-2020On Monday, July 27th at approximately 10:00 A.M Indiana State Police Trooper Korinne Reinke stopped a 2015 GMC pickup truck for a moving violation as it traveled westbound on CR 200 South near the intersection with CR 500 East in Starke County. During the course of the traffic stop it was discovered that the driver of the GMC, identified as 46 year old Michael H. Minix of Knox had an active warrant out of Marshall County for Dealing a Controlled Substance a level 2 felony. Minix is also alleged to have been in possession of 30 tubes marked “Testim” and 30 tubes marked “Testosterone Gel 1%” as well as a large amount of United States Currency. These substances are considered schedule III controlled substances.
Michael Minix _traffic stop7-28-2020Minix was taken into custody on a preliminary charge of Dealing in a Controlled Substance as well as for the active warrant out of Marshall County Superior 1.
The warrant stems from two different incidents on or about January 15th, 2019 where Michael Henry Minix is alleged according to the Probable Cause Affidavit to have knowingly or intentionally delivered DECA 300 Titanium identified as a Steroid a Scheduled III Substance in the physical presence of a child less than 18 years of age.
The 2nd offence occurred when Michael Henry Minix did knowingly or intentionally delivered 11.9 grams of steroids identified as a Scheduled III Substance in the physical presence of a child less than 18 years of age.
Minix is currently being held on a $100,005 bond in the Marshall County Jail with additional charges forthcoming from Starke County.
The Indiana State Police were assisted by the Marshall County Drug Task Force.
