Domestic Battery ArrestOn Monday, July 20th around 1:07 A.M. Marshall County Central Dispatch received a 911 call from a female living at the 20,000 block of South Lake Drive in Walkerton. The female stated that 57 year old, Jeffrey Hines of Munster had allegedly battered her and was intoxicated with a knife and was threatening suicide. When Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy Ayala arrived on scene Mr. Hines was taken into custody and transported to St. Joseph Regional Hospital. He was later transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was held on the charges of Domestic Battery and Disorderly Conduct with bond set at $505. Hines was subsequent to a mandatory twenty-four hold for the domestic battery charge.
