Deaton_Clemens_VanGilderFuneralHome2-2019 (1)Wilma C. Pinkerton (85) of Plymouth, IN, passed away on June 13, 2020 at 4:00 a.m. at her home, surrounded by her loving family and hospice.
Wilma was born on January 7, 1935 to Charles and Lela (Maxim) Collier in Marion, IN. She married the love of her life, David Garth Pinkerton, in April of 1955 (David passed away in 1960). She has been a resident of the Plymouth area since 1962 where she worked in the kitchen at Parkview Hospital and later retired from American Optical. She was a Chicago Cubs fan during her free time, and also enjoyed watching the Bears and Notre Dame games. Feeding the ducks that visited her yard was also a favorite past-time activity for her.
Survivors include her daughters, Lynn (Rodney) Waters of Granger, IN and Pam Dille of Plymouth, IN. Surviving grandchildren are: David Cain, Heather (Volker) Kurz, Rachel (John) Curley, Andrew (Katie) Maze, Alex (Rebecca) Waters, Dan Pinkerton, Haley Dille, and Ashley (Perry) Gentry and 11 great-grandchildren. Wilma’s twin brother, William Collier, also survives. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, daughter Sue Anderson, sister Jane Pulley, and brother-in-law Delbert Pulley.
In respect of the family’s wishes, cremation services will be provided.
