Residents at Miller’s Assisted Living Recently participated in a Morse Code activity to celebrate the birth of its inventor, Samuel Finley Breese Morse. He was not only the inventor of the Morse Code but also a painter and an inventor of many other creations. Each resident was a given a card with the dots and dashes that make up each letter of the code. They were then given a question written in code. After using their card to decipher the code they were told not to blurt out the answer but to simply answer the question YES or NO. One by one each resident figured out what the question and they gave Activity Director Cindy Flagg their answer. As the last person finished the code, Flagg began handing out Ice Cream Bars as the question written in Morse Code was: Would you like to have an ice cream bar? Only one person gave a NO answer!!
